"How ​is my donation used?"

​There is currently an approximate $2,000 budget for Heritage Home each month.

 

We keep track of every penny that is spent.  So far, the budget, on average, includes:

• Housing - We are in dire need of renovation.  Mainly the roof needs replaced. 

• Food - $100 for each child, per month (most orphanages allow $35 per child, however we've found this is nowhere near the amount needed for proper nutrition)

•  

• School cost - approx. $40 per month

• Electric and Water - $60 per month​

• WiFi - $25 per month

• Clothing - cost varies (we just like to keep them in nice clothes because they are use to rags)

• Doctor Visits - cost varies (we also try to budget for emergencies, e.g. a toe that needs to be sewn back on)​

 

We put each child with multiple sponsors. You can become a sponsor with any donation whether it is one time, on occasion, or monthly and at any amount. Even if you just want to pray for the kids or all the kids - that's great! We would love for you to be in contact with the kids via their Facebook pages and involved in their daily lives as much as possible.

 

Since the long term goal is sending each child that comes to Heritage Home through college and give them the best chance at success as an educated Christian in a Muslim country, we pray that our budget will grow to accomidate their needs.

 

In addition to our long term goals, there are more immediate ones, as well. We need to raise as much money as we can for renovation.  It would be awesome to be able to do it all at one time to make it easier on the kids.  Our biggest need is the roof.  The wood is beginning to rot and water leaks inside of the house.  This is our focus for 2016
